Wildlife & Animals in Ucluelet BC, Tofino BC, Pacific Rim National Park Canada

If you're visiting Pacific Rim National Park, Tofino or Ucluelet on the west coast of Vancouver island, you will see wildlife.

Bring your camera but also bring your common sense as it's possible, yet rare, to encounter bears, cougars or wolves anywhere on Vancouver island. If you come across a wild animal while out in the forest or while on the beach, or out in the parking lot in front of your cabin, retreat in the opposite direction and speak slowly and softly.

Please never feed wildlife. Do not approach bears, cougars or wolves to try to get a photo. If you have small pets keep them on a leash at all times.
